La Jolla Cove - Views of La Jolla

​I have been lucky enough to visit San Diego twice, however, both trips were two very different adventures. During the first trip, Kody and I stayed with a good friend from home who is enlisted in the US Navy and lived in Imperial Beach. This first trip was packed with the essential iconic San Diego attractions and resulted in Kody and I falling in love with this pacific coast city.

Dry Tortugas

​When planning a trip to the Dry Tortugas it is important to book the campsite at least 3 months in advance. There are only about 10 sites and they go quick especially if it is during a typical vacation month (the summer is the least busy due to extreme temperatures). Kody, my boyfriend, and I booked our campsite in August for a trip in December.

This trip to Maine started in a red minivan with a few of my closest friends. We had decided on Acadia National Park after doing some research on great hiking spots in the United States. We had high hopes for our journey and were set to hit the road.

Ocracoke Island

​Traveling to Ocracoke Island from southern Ohio is about an 11-hour drive through the Outer Banks or an 8-hour drive plus a ferry ride. Being young and eager, we decided to drive through the night in hopes to catch our ferry at 6 am. The drive itself went smoothly and we arrived at the Swan Quarter Ferry dock around 5 am.
